Onsite Pantry: Feeding Families Hour Changes

What is changing?

Beginning on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, Community Food Share’s Feeding Families pantry hours will change.

NEW Hours:

  • Wednesdays from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
  • Thursdays from 12:00-6:00 PM
  • Fridays from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM

Also on April 12, we will check in shoppers inside the Feeding Families pantry lobby. To make everyone more comfortable, we will limit the number of families in the waiting area using a new and improved number system.

  1. If you arrive before the pantry opens at 9:00 AM (or 12:00 PM on Thursdays), please line up in your cars by the check in booths in the parking lot.
    • A CFS staff member or volunteer will come by to hand you a number.
    • Once we give you the go-ahead, please park and head inside to get checked-in for shopping.
  2. If you arrive after we have opened and there is no line of cars, please park in the parking lot and come inside the lobby to grab your number.

It takes courage to ask for help. Rob and his children didn’t always need assistance getting by. For 12 years, the Air Force vet and computer engineer worked at Lockheed Martin. Then, the 2008 Recession hit, and he got laid off. The misfortune snowballed until he realized he needed help for him and his family — and that’s when he came to Community Food Share for the first time.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. We got good food. Nothing was moldy, freezer burnt and the veggies were fresh. I come weekly and it helps to be able to get the food we need so I can feed our family
