Mobile Pantries

Get No-Cost Groceries at the Location That Works Best for You

Our onsite pantry isn’t the only place you can get food from our food bank! In fact, Community Food Share brings fresh produce, dairy, meat, and pantry items to several outdoor locations in a mobile pantry truck. If you’re in need of food assistance, you may receive groceries free of charge at one of our mobile pantries.

Frequently Asked Questions: Mobile Pantries

There is no benefit to showing up early for Mobile Pantries. The length of the line fluctuates throughout the distribution, but participants are offered the same selection at all times during the allotted time frame. If shoppers arrive within the allotted time frame, they can expect to spend an average of thirty minutes with us.

You can come to all Mobile Pantry locations as frequently as you like; simply make sure to adhere to the allotted time frames. Please try your best to arrive at least ten minutes before the conclusion of the pantry.

Yes, we serve people on foot at drive-through Mobile Pantries but only if they do not have access to a car; walking up to a Mobile Pantry should not be used to skip the line. If you are without a car, simply walk up to where volunteers are distributing food, and someone will help you gather the available products.

If you are disabled in any way or unable to transport food, we have plenty of volunteers to give you a hand. Additionally, at drive-through pantries no lifting is necessary, and participants do not need to leave their vehicle.

At Community Food Share, we use a proxy-shopping system in which participants can recruit a friend, family member, or neighbor to shop for them in the case they are unable to do it themselves. If the participant is already enrolled, the proxy shopper simply arrives and provides the name and birthday of the participant. If the participant is not enrolled, they should call the Community Food Share office at 303-652-3663 to enroll over the phone before their proxy shopper arrives onsite.

Yes, there is no limit to the number of Community Food Share programs a participant can access. You are allowed to shop at as many Mobile Pantries as you want per week as well as use the Feeding Families program.

As long as conditions are safe for our staff members and volunteers, Mobile Pantries will occur as scheduled. In the case of extreme and dangerous wind and/or ice, Mobile Pantries will be cancelled. You can call the office if you are worried about a cancellation or check our social media pages or website calendar where all cancellations will be posted. Cancellations, however, are very rare.

Mobile Pantries offer participants a wide range of food options; meat, milk, assorted produce, and a variety of dry goods are always available. At walk-up distributions, participants can shop like they are in a grocery store. At drive-through distributions, food is added to a participant’s vehicle, but volunteers will offer a choice of meat, and participants can decline to receive certain categories of food i.e. produce or dairy.

If you are in need of food today and aren’t sure where to go, Community Food Share can help. Call us, or click here to find a resource near you.
