Community Insights Initiative
Community Food Share has partnered with The Round Pantry, in Longmont, to pilot our new data software, Service Insights on Meal Connect (SIMC), developed by Feeding America. This program promises to revolutionize our services by providing deeper insights into our community’s needs while streamlining our operations.
Since the introduction of SIMC in January 2024, The Round Pantry has made significant progress. By mid-March, they had already begun utilizing the collected data to inform their food purchasing decisions. In this video, Nancy, a dedicated volunteer spearheading operations at The Round Pantry, discussed how this data has empowered them to make more informed choices in food purchasing.
The success of The Round Pantry is credited to the efforts of a dedicated team of volunteers. Since January, they’ve served 2,300 unique households and 5,500 individuals, with nearly 8,000 visits to their pantry. Community Food Share is proud to stand by their side, supporting the impactful work they’re doing in our community.
If you’re interested in making a difference, consider volunteering with The Round Pantry. They’re currently seeking individuals comfortable using a tablet for data intake—a role that offers a unique opportunity to connect with our community. Comprehensive training will be provided to all volunteers.
Join us as we work together to provide targeted support to those in need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families across our community.
