Fundraising Ideas

You can make the fight against hunger personal by fundraising on behalf of Community Food Share.

Utilizing your personal, professional, and social media connections to fundraise for Community Food Share is a pro-active, fun way to make sure we have the funds to provide food to the 78,000 people we serve annually. The opportunities are endless – all it takes is passion and a few easy tools to turn you into a hunger fighting hero!

Do you have an interest in reducing consumption and minimizing your lifestyle? Invite family, friends, and co-workers to make a donation on your behalf to Community Food Share to celebrate birthdays, weddings, retirement, etc. Kids in our community have been great about asking for donations vs. gifts – everyone can do it!

You can hold a holiday fundraiser at work, your house of worship, clubs, etc. Like to run, bike, or swim? Ask people to sponsor each mile or race.

Every donation makes a difference – for every $1 donated we can provide 3 meals.

If you’re on social media, we encourage you to share our social media postings – especially on Colorado Gives Day, during Corporate Challenge, and Hunger Action Month (September). A few minutes of your time and a personal “ask” can result in thousands of meals going to hungry neighbors.
