Mobility and health concerns become prevalent for many of our older adult neighbors. In Boulder and Broomfield counties, food insecurity affects about 7.3% of older adults, or approximately 2,700 individuals.
Older Adults
How we can turn every $1 donated into $6 worth of groceries
By leveraging local and national food donor relationships, engaging a volunteer corps of 1,300 people, and collaborating with a strong network of community partners, we’re able to stretch every $1 donated into $6 worth of groceries for our neighbors facing food insecurity.

With a health condition requiring specific food items, she’s able to find the items she needs to eat a balanced diet. More importantly, Peggy experiences a welcoming and dignified environment that makes her feel valued and supported.
