Let’s Bag Hunger Fund & Food Drive
Every fall, Community Food Share hosts the Let’s Bag Hunger Fund & Food Drive, founded by the Daily Camera. This event stocks the pantry shelves of more than 40 non-profits in Boulder and Broomfield Counties. Community Food Share provides food to these partners at no cost, because every dollar they save on food can be devoted to assistance with housing, healthcare, education, and other basic needs. Together, we better serve the neighbors who rely on us. Together, we can help bag hunger.
How to Participate
Give Time: Volunteering for Hunger Hurts
Volunteer shifts typically become available in September — check back then for information on how to sign up. These are the two primary volunteer roles we need to fill:
Store Greeters encourage shoppers to purchase and donate food items; they are stationed at the entrances of select King Soopers stores. This is a great opportunity for groups and families, as well as individuals!
Food Transporters load food donations into our trucks and assist with greeting in between. Volunteers must be able to walk up stairs and lift bags of donated food (ages 16+ only).
