Fundraising Ideas

You can make the fight against hunger personal by fundraising on behalf of Community Food Share.

Utilizing your personal, professional, and social media connections to raise funds for our work helps ensure that we can provide food to the community members we serve. The opportunities are endless — all it takes is passion and a few easy tools to become a hunger-fighting hero! Every donation makes a difference: for every $1 donated, we can provide 3 meals.

Do you have an interest in reducing consumption and minimizing your lifestyle? Invite family, friends, and co-workers to make a donation on your behalf to Community Food Share to celebrate birthdays, weddings, retirement, or other occasions. We even know children who ask for donations instead of personal gifts!

You can hold a holiday fundraiser at work, your house of worship, or clubs. Like to run, bike, or swim? Ask people to sponsor each mile or race.

If you’re on social media, we encourage you to share our social media postings — especially during Colorado Gives Day, our Corporate Challenge, and Hunger Action Month (September). And, if you have a Facebook account, set up an online fundraiser that benefits Community Food Share.

A few minutes of your time and a personal “ask” can result in thousands of meals going to neighbors in need.

Donations made to Community Food Share are tax deductible as allowed by law.
