Garden Share

Garden Share encompasses several growing and harvesting programs that bring freshly grown food to Community Food Share.

Community Garden Donations

In collaboration with Earth’s Table, volunteers grow and harvest produce for Community Food Share. Local home gardeners also share their bounties by donating freshly picked fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

How to donate food from your garden:

Donations are accepted Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM at Community Food Share: 650 S. Taylor Avenue, Louisville. Bring donations to our main lobby. We’re happy to help unload large harvests, and know that no donation is too small!

Donations made to Community Food Share are tax deductible as allowed by law.

No place to plant? Join a community garden:

Local farms call Community Food Share when they have an abundant harvest or it’s time to plant a new crop. But our ability to collect and distribute this incredibly fresh produce is dependent on volunteer availability — help us collect it by volunteering as a gleaner.

If you are interested in helping glean food on our behalf, contact our Garden Share Coordinator at (303) 652-3663 or Opportunities arise at short notice, so you will be added to our “on-call” list.
