Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator supports the Volunteer Manager by coordinating all volunteer functions within the organization, helping to strengthen food distribution programs and operations, and assisting to sustain a community of supporters. Along with helping match organizational needs with volunteers, this position will recruit, train, schedule, track, supervise, and report on volunteer activities. This position is required to have open availability during the work week of Monday through Friday, with the ability to flex hours in a given day.  Regular availability for weekend/Saturday activities may be expected as well.

Gift Officer

Community Food Share is looking for a Gift Officer to oversee stewardship of mid-level giving and drive outreach, cultivation, and fundraising initiatives to create a pipeline for major gifts. The position will be responsible for researching donor profiles, crafting and sending targeted donor communications, and developing and executing fundraising strategies to attract new donors and increase mid‐level donor contribution levels. The Gift Officer will be effective at cross‐functional collaboration and will be at ease contributing to and executing strategies generated by a leadership group within the philanthropy department.

Driver/Warehouse Associate

The Driver/Warehouse Associate (DWA) is an essential member of the Operations team. Drivers are assigned daily routes that consist of various grocery rescue pick-ups and partner agency deliveries. The DWA is the most important point of contact for many of our donors and partner agencies. Each driver is responsible for ensuring all donor and/or partner agencies receive steady, constant, and excellent customer service as well as respectful feedback when needed.  When working in the warehouse, one must assist with all duties required to maintain the warehouse including but not limited to; loading/unloading of trucks, palletizing product, order creation/building, general cleaning tasks, and inventory control. The DWA must have open availability from 7 AM to 4 PM during the work week to perform the duties of this position and be able to attend all necessary meetings and events. Occasional weekend work and work outside of normal business hours may be required from time to time.

Elder Share Coordinator

The Elder Share Coordinator (ESC) is responsible for assisting the Elder Share Manager with operational, programmatic, and administrative tasks for Community Food Share’s Elder Share program, serving adults 60 and above. This position works in both the office and warehouse settings, while also driving Community Food Share vehicles to several Elder Share food distribution sites in Boulder and Longmont. The ESC serves as the main point of contact for volunteers and participants while operating these distributions. This position works closely with volunteers in the warehouse, physically overseeing the food order building process for the program and ensuring that our participants receive the foods best suited for them. This position also works closely with people in other departments, ensuring that inventory orders are entered accurately into the ECCA Primarius database and in a timely manner. The ESC assists with weekly data and enrollment form entry in the Community Connect (CC) database and supports the Programs Department with a variety of additional daily and weekly distribution needs, including but not limited to enrollment updates and form edits, SOP writing and updates, calendar updates and assisting with participant communication. This position spends roughly 75% of the time working in our warehouse and at offsite distributions, and the other 25% in the office. Time in the warehouse involves bending, lifting, moving pallets, and operating forklifts, electric jacks and driving vehicles. Candidate must have proficient database and Microsoft Excel skills.

Agency Relations Coordinator

The Agency Relations Coordinator (ARC) is a liaison between Community Food Share and the Partner Agencies, a network of nonprofit organizations distributing food from Community Food Share. The ARC will assist in building and maintaining relationships with the Partner Agencies through on-site visits, trainings, regular communication, and general customer service. The ARC is responsible for setting up, organizing, and overseeing Community Food Share’s Agency Shop Floor (ASF). With support from the Agency Relations Manager (ARM), the ARC takes the lead on planning and assigning tasks, inventory management, and day to day oversight of the ASF. This position ensures that the staff and volunteers from Partner Agencies who shop the ASF always receive consistent and exceptional customer service. The ARC trains volunteers who help on the ASF and supports training other program volunteers as needed. This position is ultimately responsible for setting and managing the ASF and ensuring Community Food Share best serves its Partner Agencies.
